The Game Master
I’m Greg. I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs since the days of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, took a decade-long break to do adult things, and came back to the hobby a few years ago with considerably more disposable income and considerably less free time.
I run multiple campaigns for the Friday Knights – currently Red ’25 a Cold War superhero game using Mutants & Masterminds, a Forgotten Realms campaign The Narrow Path, and The Weight of Knowing – a Delta Green campaign following four FBI agents from the X-Files paranoia of 1996 through three decades of accumulating horror, compromise, and cost.
My library runs to over 500 volumes across 40+ systems. I have a problem.
At the table I aim for cinematic and sensory — I want you to smell the dungeon, feel the tension, care about the NPCs. I prep lean and improvise hard, following the Lazy DM philosophy: enough structure to give the world shape, enough space to let players break it. I take the stories seriously. I don’t take myself seriously.
I’m Australian, based in South London, and have been running games for the Friday Knights for the last couple of years. If you’re looking for a group that plays a wide range of games with genuine enthusiasm and zero pretension, pull up a chair.
The door’s open. Mostly.
